Lemon Sorbet

  • 2-1/4 cup sugar
  • 2-1/2 cup water
  • 1- cup lemon juice from fresh lemons
  • 5-6 fresh lemons
  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Whisk ingredients together so sugar dissolves completely. Reduce heat and remove after @five minutes.
  3. Pour mixture into a bowl and allow to cool. Add lemon juice and whisk
  4. thoroughly.
  5. Chill mixture in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. After chilling, pour mixture into ice cream maker and blend.
  7. The amount of time spent in ice cream maker will vary based on machine model and manufacturer’s instructions.
  8. Mine took about 35 minutes of spinning for sorbet to begin to form.
  9. After mixing in machine, freeze sorbet overnight before serving.
