Rose-Shaped Yellow Cake from Scratch

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups of cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter 1-stick, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs I used duck eggs, because I had them on hand
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Confectioner's sugar for dusting optional
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350-degrees
  2. Grease Bundt pan and dust with flour
  3. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
  5. Add milk and vanilla and beat until well combined.
  6. Mix flour, salt and baking powder and add to mixture.
  7. Pour mixture into Bundt pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 15 minutes in pan.
  9. Cool on wire rack before topping with glaze or confectioner's sugar.
